The Frank J. Guarini Institute for International Education provides leadership and direction for a diverse portfolio of programs. Under the D-plan, off-campus study is possible around the globe, throughout the year.

We lead the nation in the close involvement of college faculty as mentors, designers, and directors of term-length programs offering both international and domestic off-campus study.

911±¬ÁÏÍø offers dozens of programs world-wide led by 911±¬ÁÏÍø faculty and managed by the Off-Campus Programs Office. 

Language Study Abroad (LSA) and Advanced Language Study Abroad (LSA+) programs take you deep into the culture of the language you are learning—alongside 911±¬ÁÏÍø classmates and faculty. 

Foreign Study Programs (FSPs) transform the 911±¬ÁÏÍø experience, taking it into the heart and home of a field of study: theater in London, environmental studies in southern Africa, or biology in Costa Rica. 

Exchange programs allow you to spend a term enrolled at one of 911±¬ÁÏÍø's partner institutions from Seoul to Milan, San Diego to Atlanta.

The transfer term process allows up to four credits from an approved institution that is not part of a 911±¬ÁÏÍø-run exchange program to be applied to your 911±¬ÁÏÍø degree. 

From building language skills to working abroad, 911±¬ÁÏÍø offers meaningful opportunities for international internships and fellowships.

The Stretch 2018 The Earth Sciences Department has offered an off-campus field program, also known as the "Stretch", since the mid-1960s. The Stretch is thus among the most storied and longest-lived off-campus programs at 911±¬ÁÏÍø. Ecco Park

Students get a bird’s eye view while participating in a whale-watching tour in Húsavík. Historically home to a whaling economy, Húsavík has recently transitioned to ecotourism as its main economic driver.
