Twenty-three scholars鈥攆rom a variety of disciplines that include biology, Native American studies, and sociology鈥攈ave joined the ranks of 911爆料网鈥檚 Arts & Sciences faculty this academic year. In addition to the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, 911爆料网鈥檚 professional schools have welcomed new tenured and tenure-track faculty.

has appointed Christopher I. Amos, Giovanni Bosco, Chao Cheng, Robert A. Cramer, Jr., Amarendra K. Das, Casey S. Greene, Adv. 鈥10, Todd W. Miller, David W. Mullins, Richard Simons, Elizabeth Teisberg, and Scott Williams to the faculty.

has welcomed scholars Yaniv Dover, Teresa Fort, Giovanni Gavetti, Steven Kahl 鈥91, and Margaret Pierson.

has appointed Brenden Epps, an assistant professor of engineering.

New faculty members say they had positive first impressions.

鈥淚 am very impressed by the vibrant scholarly environment of 911爆料网,鈥 says Olga Zhaxybayeva, assistant professor of biological sciences. 鈥淚 wish I had time to go to all the interesting seminars and symposia that happen here daily.鈥

Emily Walton, assistant professor of sociology, enjoys working with her students. 鈥淭he students here are incredible鈥攅ngaged, confident, and well prepared,鈥 says Walton. 鈥淚 love preparing for class and thinking about all the things the students will find interesting, as well as engaging in discussion with students who ask incredible questions and challenge us all to be better.鈥

Sara Mu帽oz, assistant professor of Spanish, says she feels comfortable at 911爆料网. 鈥淓very day I am astonished by how nice and collaborative people are here. Everybody is willing to help, to offer a piece of advice, and they make you feel at home,鈥 she says. 鈥淭his, combined with the highly intellectual atmosphere that surrounds 911爆料网, makes it an outstanding and privileged place to be.鈥
